Welcome to AJ's Royal Rabbitry my name is Shaley I am the founder and operator of AJ's Royal Rabbitry. Iv'e been raising rabbits for a little over three years. I raise Mini Rex's. I strive to raise quality show rabbits with good temperments. In my Mini Rex's I'm currently raising broken castors, castors, lilacs, and blacks. I live in Shafter, CA. I only have 12 holes for my mini rexs so my rabbitry is rather small but it's perfect for me! My first rabbit was a black holland lop pet given to me by my aunt. I named him AJ which is where AJ's Royal Rabbitry started from. He has now passed on and I still continue to show rabbits. I've loved the Mini Rex's from the first time I saw them and I knew I had to start raising and showing them. The thing I love about the mini rexs is there soft, velvet like hair.I have lilacs, broken castors, castors, and blacks. The broken castors are my favorite. I want to get blues and start showing them and also a blue eyed white because they are just soo beautiful! I love to show rabbits and meeting new friends. I like traveling to shows and learnig from other breeders. My aunt takes me to the shows and she always pretends shes interested in my breed even though she likes the lops a lot better! I never really thought about showing rabbits it started off I would go to a show once every so often just to hang out with my aunt. But then for my birthday I got AJ and realized that I loved raising rabbits. So the next show I went to, I saw a really cute mini rex and asked my aunt if she would help me to start my own rabbitry. And thats how I got where I am today!
